How to update the student welcome email in GoHighLevel.

Here are the step by step instructions:

1. Create an Email Template for the new Student Welcome Email that you wish to be more on brand than the standard system generated version.

2. Select your base brand template, or build a new one from scratch.

3. Adjust the settings of the template by entering in your ‘Send From’ email

4. Use {{contact.email}} custom value as the ‘Send To’ email within the templates settings.

5. Add a template Subject Line

6. Write/Add the body content of your student welcome email. Personalise as you see fit.

   Please Note: Membership new enrollments (by purchase or free course) grants access to membership related custom values to appear that can be added to the body of an email.

7. Press on the 'insert custom value' on the toolbar controls of the email design editor to access available personalised data fields. Here is an example body copy script:

   Hey {{contact.first_name}},

   Thank you for enrolling in {{membership_contact.product_title}}.

   Here is your log in details to my learning portal.

   Login email: {{membership_contact.email}}

   Log in password: {{membership_contact.password}}

   Simply click the link below, book mark this URL to return to it at any time, login in with your email and password above. You can change or reset your password from this login page at any time.

8.  Once you are happy with the new look, on brand new student welcome email template, make sure you save it.

9. Then head to Memberships > Settings >  Email Settings > Toggle On the “Send Welcome Email” option.

10. Select your new student welcome email template from the dropdown list

11.  Save your changes.

12.  Be sure to toggle off the system-generated email.
